Eight years after she effectively retired from Hollywood with 2014’s “Annie” remake, Cameron Diaz is coming back to screens.
Jamie Foxx, who previously worked with Diaz on “Annie” and Oliver Stone’s “Any Given Sunday,” revealed the news in a video posting announcing the new Netflix action-comedy “Back in Action” which begins production later this year.
Story details about the film are under wraps. In the clip, Foxx enlists football champ Tom Brady to help Diaz come out of retirement.
Seth Gordon (“Horrible Bosses”) is directing from a script he wrote with Brendan O’Brien (“Neighbors”). Beau Bauman is producing.
