Bruhl Talks Zemo’s Mask & “Falcon” Shoot

“The Alienist” and “Rush” actor Daniel Bruhl will soon be seen reprising his role of Zemo from “Captain America: Civil War” in the upcoming Marvel Studios and Disney+ TV series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”.

This marks Zemo’s first appearance since that film, the villain character also confirmed to be finally getting to wear his comic accurate purple mask in the series. Speaking with Collider, Bruhl talked about reprising his role which marks one of the first times he’s actually come back to a screen role:

“I remember that Kari Skogland, the director, came to Budapest and we recorded something with me being Zemo, and I was very happy and enthusiastic to see the mask. I was incredibly thrilled to go back because I remember that I had a lot of fun being in something completely different and getting to explore the MCU and become part of that.

I have the fondest memories of collaborating with all of these wonderful actors, and to see Sebastian Stan again, and Anthony Mackie, this time around, and to come back to something which, on the one hand, felt common and known, and on the other hand, being something completely new and something fresh.”

Bruhl confirms production was affected by the coronavirus, with only a little bit left they were not able to finish and wrap up. He adds “Fingers crossed that it will happen, as soon as possible.”

Bruhl will next be seen in “The Alienist: Angel of Darkness” launching July 19th.
