The announcement on Friday of an “Evil Dead” television series got many frothing with excitement but also curious as to what the nature of the show would be.
Specifically would it be a continuation of the classic franchise, the reboot, or its own reboot/adaptation. Tonight, that got partly cleared up on Twitter thanks to a tweet from actor Bruce Campbell. Yes, it appears Campbell’s Ash will be the star.

What remains unclear is if the series will replace Raimi’s previously-announced plans for an “Army of Darkness” sequel. It also doesn’t specify the tone of the show, but with Raimi and Campbell involved you can expect it to be a much more fun affair than the recent reboot.
