Brody, Cannavale Up For Dominik’s “Blonde”

Brody Cannavale Up For Dominiks Blonde

“Chopper’ and “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” director Andrew Dominik has been working on his proposed Marilyn Monroe biopic “Blonde” for years.

The project, based on Joyce Carol Oates’ acclaimed novel, had hit some stumbling blocks but things took a turn for the better when both Netflix came onboard and Dominik cast “Blade Runner 2049” breakout Ana de Armas in the title role back in March.

Now, Collider reports that Bobby Cannavale (“Homecoming,” “Ant-Man”) and Adrien Brody (“Predators,” “King Kong”) are in talks to join the cast as Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller respectively – famed icons in their own right and Monroe’s second and third husband in the years before her death in 1962 at the age of 36.

There’s no word on when the project will hit either cinemas or Netflix at this point beyond an obvious 2020 release at the earliest.
