Netflix has revealed that they underestimated the projected for their sexy period drama “Bridgerton” and the show has become the streamer’s most-watched new series of all time.

Earlier, Netflix estimated that 63 million member accounts would check out the series in its first 28 days of release.

That full period has now just finished and the company says it turned out to be 82 million member households who have viewed the show. Unlike most news series which taper off in the back half of the period, “Bridgerton” hasn’t seen a slowdown or dropoff as yet.

That surpasses the prior record-holder, “The Witcher,” which had 76 million views in 28 days – or around 40% of its userbase. “Witcher” however still has the highest percentage of Netflix households worldwide having checked it out.
