Alice Braga (“The New Mutants,” “Queen of the South”) has joined the cast of the Robert Rodriguez-directed thriller “Hypnotic” which is gearing up to start production in Austin, Texas in September.
Ben Affleck stars as a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program while investigating a string of high-end crimes.
The movie was originally slated to begin shooting in April 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic and then insurance issues.
Rodriguez (“Alita: Battle Angel,” “Sin City”) and Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”) penned the script while Rodriguez, Jeff Robinov, Guy Danella and John Graham are producing.
Braga will next be seen in James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”.
