Bradley Cooper, Paul Thomas Anderson To Team

Actor Bradley Cooper and celebrated “The Master” and “There Will Be Blood” director Paul Thomas Anderson, both eight-time Oscar nominees, are teaming up for Anderson’s 1970s San Fernando Valley-set project at MGM.

Cooper is in talks to star in the currently untitled coming-of-age drama which involves multiple storylines centering around a kid actor attending high school in the Valley. It is unclear what role Cooper would play in the movie.

Anderson wrote and will produce alongside Sarah Murphy. Production aimed to kick off in the Spring/Summer prior to the COVID-19 shutdown. It is now targeting a Fall start in Los Angeles depending upon clearances and county rulings.

Cooper will next continue production on Guillermo Del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley” and is gearing up to helm an untitled Leonard Bernstein feature for Netflix which he’ll both direct and star in.
