Maria Bakalova, who broke out with her Oscar-nominated turn in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” has been revealed as a key cast member in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” at Marvel Studios.
She joins a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, Will Poulter, Chuk Iwuji and Daniela Melchior.
Gunn has previously teased the involvement of an “unannounced actor” in the film and that person isn’t Bakalova. She will be seen soon though in A24’s SXSW black comedy slasher “Bodies Bodies Bodies”.
Filming wrapped a little while back on this likely last of the current ‘Guardians’ films which will arrive in cinemas May 5th 2023.
