20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced details for the home video release of the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” which hits Digital HD on January 22nd and disc/rental VOD on February 12th.
The studio has also confirmed that the major extra included in the set will be the complete, 22-minute uncut, Live Aid performance recreation including two songs cut from the theatrical run (“Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “We Will Rock You”). In addition, there’ll be featurettes such as “Rami Malek: Becoming Freddie,” “The Look and Sound of Queen,” and “Recreating Live Aid”.
Sadly there’s no mention of deleted scenes including more of Mercury clubbing in 1980s New York, Mercury coming up with Crazy Little Thing Called Love in the bathtub, John Deacon’s joining the band, and other scenes that were shot but cut.
