Ahead of its premiere at Fantastic Fest, filmmaker Scott Derrickson has released the poster for his new horror feature “The Black Phone”.
The one-sheet shows Ethan Hawke as The Grabber, a sadistic child killer who has locked a thirteen-year-old boy in a soundproof basement. The boy then starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer’s previous victims.
James Ransone, Jeremy Davies, Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw co-star. Derrickson and Robert Cargill adapted the script from Joe Hill’s short story and the film will open in cinemas on January 28th 2022.
