With the box-office having been dead quiet for weeks now, things are finally set to get back in gear this month.
Early projections are out for the Dwayne Johnson-led DC Comics adaptation “Black Adam” which is reportedly on track for a $65-70 million opening weekend on October 21st-23rd. The film marks the first major tentpole film in cinemas since “Bullet Train” in early August.
Should it exceed $68.1 million at opening domestically, it would become Johnson’s best solo opening after 2001’s “The Mummy Returns”.
“Ticket to Paradise” also opens the same day and is headed for a $12-17 million debut. Both will arrive a week after the debut of “Halloween Ends” next Friday with that film tipped for a $35-45 million start even with its simultaneous debut on Peacock.
