“Black Adam” End Credits Leak & DC Talk

Warner Bros. Pictures

A week out from its release, a bootleg video capture of the post-credits scene for the DC Comics adaptation “Black Adam” has already gone online.

The leak has been spreading across both Twitter and TikTok in the past few hours with the platforms and studio already actively engaged in efforts to remove the video’s existence as it violates copyright.

Leaks of photos and video from sets are common, as are bootlegs of post-credit scenes. However, in the latter’s case they are almost always after the film has arrived in cinemas.

That such a leak is happening a full week before the film’s release, a film which has only just begun screening following its world premiere yesterday, is fairly unprecedented.

This comes as the film’s star Dwayne Johnson told Variety on the film’s red carpet yesterday that he’d happily help DC Films, in an advisory capacity, in terms of planning for the future:

“The best position that I could be for DC is one as an advisor, where I can help. I love DC. It’s in my blood. In the spirit of growing up with the DC Universe. I’m here to help in any way I can, including looking for and finding that right leader or leaders.”

“Black Adam” will opens in cinemas next Friday.
