Warner Bros. Pictures

Additional filming is now underway on the movie adaptation of the DC Comics title “Black Adam” with star Dwayne Johnson back at work in the black and gold lightning bodysuit.

Principal photography took place from April to August last year on the movie which was originally going to open this July before being pushed back to October the other week.

How long the reshoots will take isn’t clear but a photo posted by Johnson indicates director Jaume Collet-Serra and VFX editor Krisztian Majdik are on set along with over 750 people in the film crew.

Johnson also says he’s “dialled in my diet and training intensity for weeks now to prepare”. Additional photography is standard for major blockbuster films, especially heavy VFX superhero titles.

“Black Adam” will open in cinemas on October 21st.
