Billy Campbell will reprise his “Star Trek: The Next Generation” role of roguish space captain Thadiun Okona in the upcoming run of the animated kids series “Star Trek: Prodigy”.
In the series Okona, constantly outrunning trouble caused by his own tactics, runs into the young and impressionable Protostar crew and soon discovers they are in more hot water than he is.
Campbell joins previously announced recurring voice cast members Daveed Diggs (Commander Tysess), Jameela Jamil (Ensign Asencia), Jason Alexander (Doctor Noum) and Robert Beltran (Captain Chakotay).
The show’s voice cast includes Kate Mulgrew (Hologram Kathryn Janeway), Brett Gray (Dal), Ella Purnell (Gwyn), Rylee Alazraqui (Rok-Tahk), Angus Imrie (Zero), Jason Mantzoukas (Jankom Pog), Dee Bradley Baker (Murf), John Noble (The Diviner) and Jimmi Simpson (Drednok).
The series will have its mid-season return on Thursday, October 27th, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, South Korea, and the U.K. with the run to air later in the year in other parts of the world.
