Sundance acclaimed feature “Big Time Adolescence” starring Pete Davidson has gone online a week earlier than originally planned. The film was supposed to launch on Hulu on March 20th, but the service has moved it up with the film now available to watch.
With various businesses and institutions shutting down for the rest of the month, and many stuck at home in self-quarantine, several companies have smartly exploited the captive audience and have moved up home streaming releases to help ease the cabin fever.
One thing you shouldn’t expect though are large studio movies like “Mulan” or “Black Widow” as studios remain committed to the theatrical window, because there’s so much money to be made, even as they acknowledge that the consumer would like to have every film on every medium right away as it’s easier for them.
