A new report in Page Six has indicated that Ben Stiller will have a role in “F9: The Fast Saga,” this year’s installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
The paper indicates that Stiller hasn’t shot his scenes yet, though the film wrapped its lengthy production back in November. This would suggest if accurate, Stiller’s role is likely only a brief cameo that could be filmed very quickly.
The franchise has dabbled with some unexpected casting choices before that have often worked out, such as Helen Mirren having popped in for both “The Fate of the Furious” and “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” along with the upcoming ninth film. Cardi B is also making an appearance in the new film which opens May 22nd.
Update: Stiller has shot down the report, saying on Twitter: “Reports of my Fast and Furiosness are greatly exaggerated. Meaning not at all true, sadly. Though I wish them well with the franchise. Fingers crossed it takes off.”
