Following the full run of Peter Jackson’s “The Beatles: Get Back” three-part docuseries on Apple TV+, it has been announced that IMAX is set to hold a special screening of a key part of it.
The one-hour event will screen the band’s entire last live performance before they broke up – the famed rooftop concert at their Apple Corps’ Savile Row headquarters on January 30th 1969.
The footage and audio have been remastered and optimised for IMAX. In addition, Jackson will take part in a special Q&A session which will be broadcast simultaneously to all IMAX locations.
At the moment, the screenings are only available in the US, but “The Beatles: Get Back – The Rooftop Concert” will get a global theatrical release from February 11th-13th.
In addition, the full “The Beatles: Get Back” series will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the US on February 8th.
