“Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” the latest instalments in two globally successful film franchises, have both scored the go-ahead to receive theatrical releases in China this April.
“Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,” the fourth entry in that series, hits April 3rd. However, it arrives several months after the film was already released online elsewhere via Amazon Prime and so high-quality pirate copies are out there.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” arrives five days later on April 8th – the same time as the UK and a week ahead of the United States. Both join “Uncharted” opening on March 14th and “The Batman” on March 18th as among the few Hollywood features scoring Chinese releases in the past year or so.
