“Bill & Ted Face The Music” co-writer Ed Solomon has confirmed that not only is the first trailer for the third entry in the comedy series set to arrive in the next few weeks, but fans now have a chance to appear in the film.
A new site, PartyOnWithBillandTed.com, has been launched inviting fans to make short videos of themselves playing along – on real or imaginary instruments – to a demo track. Some of these will be chosen by producers to become ‘a small but excellent part’ of the movie.
The contest is only open to U.K. and U.S. residents and clips should be limited to 30 seconds in length. The audio of the clip won’t be used and it’s suggested the clip be done in the most interesting setting people can do it – but one that doesn’t display any copyrighted materials.
Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves return in the title roles for the first time since 1991’s “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” with the film scheduled for release on August 21st.
