Bautista-Led “My Spy” Delayed A Month

Just one week out from release originally slated for this coming Friday, STX has delayed the Dave Bautista-led family feature “My Spy” by a month to April 17th.

With the James Bond film “No Time To Die” having vacated April 10th and “Trolls World Tour” having moved up a week to fill that old Bond slot, April 17th is relatively clear and so “My Spy” intends to take advantage of the wide-open release date.

Had it opened this week it would’ve gone up against the Vin Diesel-led “Bloodshot,” the delayed “The Hunt” and the faith-based “I Still Believe” which all hit on Friday. The film has already opened in select global markets.

Bautista stars in the $18 million-budgeted film as a hardened CIA operative who finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, having been sent undercover to watch her family. Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeong co-star.
