It appears screen adaptations of “Batgirl” and “Zatanna” are still very much in the works for the HBO Max service.
Late this past week, WarnerMedia’s parent company AT&T held an investors day presentation where they confirmed various already announced DC Comics projects with a screen graphic showing a list of titles.
The titles, which film, TV, and video games, included those two aforementioned properties. At last report Christina Hodson (“Birds of Prey”) was penning a standalone “Batgirl” film while J.J. Abrams is developing a new “Zatanna” series which is expected to tie into a “Justice League Dark” series.
Neither project has anything close to a production timetable let alone a release date. For now though, Warners is seemingly committed to both projects.
