Just the other day, New Mexico dropped charges against Alec Baldwin for the fatal accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the independent Western genre feature “Rust”.
At the same time, production on the feature began again in Montana eighteen months after the incident shut everything down with Baldwin back on set filming. Today, it has been revealed Baldwin has already filmed another new feature – a crime caper comedy about movie producers called “Hollywood Heist”.
According to Deadline, Nick Cannon stars as a Hollywood power agent trying to land an actor (Baldwin) by telling the story of his client, a movie producer (Mike Hatton) along with his washed-up movie star pal (Paul Sloan), as they race against time to save their latest production when a thief absconds with the film’s finances.
This leads to negotiations with famous actors, drug lords and death in a story inspired by true events. The project completed principal photography last week and was partly shot in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and in Majorca, Spain.
Mickey Rourke, Til Schweiger, Arman Nshanian and Tara Reid co-star in the film, with Baldwin, Rourke and Reeves reportedly playing meta-fictional versions of themselves.
Hatton is directing and penned the script with Sloan. Both will produce along with Asko Akopyan.
