The other week came word that reshoots were underway on David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” film with one report suggesting that, in the wake of “Deadpool” and early “Batman v Superman” reviews, the additional filming was to ‘increase’ the film’s humor as the previous trailer had “used it all up”.
That report was shot down today, both by last night’s new trailer which boasted some all new laughs from footage shot some time ago, to Ayer himself who dismissed the report on social media and explaining what the additional filming was all about:
#SuicideSquad “reshoots for humor” is silly. When a studio loves your movie and asks what else you want, go for it! #ThanksWB #moreaction
