“Avengers” Wrap, Sink & Doom Variant Talk

Hulu

There’s been a flurry of “Avengers” talk in the past 48 hours or so, some with more weight than others.

Arguably, the most concrete report came from long-time British scooper Baz Bamigboye, who says on Deadline
that “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink, who will make her MCU debut in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in July next year, will join the cast of “Avengers: Secret Wars” shooting in the UK in 2026.

This has been taken as ‘official’ confirmation, though Marvel itself has made no official comments regarding any casting on “Avengers: Secret Wars” at this time. That said, the report is very likely to be accurate.

The trade also indicates that filming on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to wrap mid-December. What Sink’s role is remains unclear.

In far less concrete reports, the latest rumours (via Cosmic Circus) suggest Sink is playing Madelyne Pryor/The Goblin Queen.

Meanwhile, Den of Nerds is reporting that multiple Dr Doom variants will appear in “Avengers: Doomsday” (including two female versions) with some big names to play those roles.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will release in cinemas on July 31st 2026 followed by “Avengers: Doomsday” December 2026 and “Avengers: Secret Wars” December 2027.
