“Avengers: Secret Wars” Filming Window Set?

Marvel

Filming on Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” took place this year starting on April 28th and running through until mid-September.

That means the project has a full 15-month window to finish post-production – a lot longer than 7-8 months being afforded to “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” which still has weeks left of shooting to complete.

The reasoning for that also ties to the fact that ‘Doomsday’ directors Joe and Anthony Russo have to also film “Avengers: Secret Wars” before ‘Doomsday’ comes out – so it’s likely there won’t be any serious downtime for them for another two years.

Now, Hollywood North Buzz is reporting that “Avengers: Secret Wars” has set the same April-September filming window next year as “Avengers: Doomsday” did this year.

That gives the production the same 15-month window to finish post-production, something that will likely be required with the film’s extensive visual effects.

It also affords ‘Secret Wars’ plenty of time for additional filming in 2027 as it’s expected that the film will be the most cameo-laden Marvel Studios film to date (and possibly ever).

Tom Holland is rumored to be sitting out “Avengers: Doomsday” but will play a much bigger and more crucial part in “Avengers: Secret Wars”. However, he will also have to be out promoting “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” throughout much of July next year – right in the middle of ‘Secret Wars’ filming. That is going to require some very careful scheduling.
