What appears to be a bootleg of the first of four “Avengers: Doomsday” ‘year to go’ teaser trailers has leaked online and the strategy that Marvel appears to be employing has seemingly been revealed.
As previously reported, up to four teasers are being played in front of copies of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” with the teaser being played changing each week.
Earlier reports also suggested the trailers appear to involve short character-centric moments – each one focusing on a specific character. If this bootleg is real, that appears to have panned out.
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The first, which is what will play from this Friday in cinemas with the new “Avatar,” sees Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers pulling up to a house and is then seen holding a baby in his arms.
END SPOILERS
The second reportedly sees Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the woods praying to his late father Odin before a battle to bring him back safely to his daughter (this description is the most speculative part of the reports).
The third teaser will reportedly focus on on Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. No details about that one have been revealed.
The fourth is the real mystery one – a potentially full-blown teaser trailer with various clips. Details of this are also unknown.
Marvel and Disney have made no indication if one or any of these trailers will be officially released online. The only official confirmation of a trailer we have is from a ratings board which did classify an 85-second teaser.
Numerous AI slop fake teaser trailers and ‘set photos’ for the film have circulated for a while and are all over the internet. One difference with this leak compared to most of the fan made stuff is that wherever it has been popping up on social media, it’s being taken quickly down due to copyright issues.
