“Avatar: Fire and Ash” Poster, Trailer Soon

20th Century Studios

20th Century Studios has confirmed that the first trailer for James Cameron’s “Avatar: Fire and Ash” will be released exclusively in cinemas ahead of sessions of Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

In addition, the first poster for the film has been posted online and can be seen below. The same trailer was first revealed to CinemaCon attendees back in April, and famously a bootleg copy of it leaked last week.

The third entry in the series takes us back to Pandora and introduces two new Na’vi tribes: The peaceful merchant-like Wind Traders who traverse the world in dirigible-esque skyships, and the warlike Fire People who ride on flying beasts.

The events in this follow in the wake of “Avatar: The Way of Water” with Jake and Neytiri still dealing with the loss of their son Neteyam.

Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully, Zoe Saldaña’s Neytiri and Oona Chaplin’s Carang are all featured in the trailer for the film which also stars Sigourney Weaver as Kiri, Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Kate Winslet as Ronal, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Joel David Moore as Dr. Norm Spellman, and Edie Falco as General Frances Ardmore.

This third film is due out on December 19th. After that there will be a gap, with the fourth and fifth film currently due for release in 2029 and 2031 respectively.
