A new report at The Ankler has indicated that the first trailer for James Cameron’s “Avatar” sequel will be attached to Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” which opens on May 6th.
The report hasn’t been confirmed as yet. Though it would be early to see a trailer seven months out from release, the film has been in post-production for some time and so should have plenty of finished footage available for an expected long marketing push.
When it hits, it is expected to be one of the biggest trailer launches in years. The preview will arrive over twelve years since the first film opened and offer our first glimpse at a movie that has been in development since 2010 and began shooting way back in 2017.
In fact, the project didn’t finally complete filming with its actors until three years later in 2020. The film is currently slated for a December 16th release.
