“Carnival Row” and “House of the Dragon” alum Arty Froushan has reportedly scored a major role in Marvel Studios’ “Daredevil: Born Again” revival series which is currently early into an eight month long production.
The casting was confirmed following a set photo online showcasing Froushan alongside the show’s villain Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).
Specifics of the character are under wraps though he is believed to be playing Harry, an associate of D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. This fits in with speculation the show is adapting the Mayor Fisk Marvel Comics arc.
Written and executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, the new installment also sees Charlie Cox reprising his role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil alongside Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini and Nikki M. James.
Jon Bernthal is also returning as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Filming on the new season began early March in New York and is expected to continue through until mid-November.
In all, eighteen episodes of the series are being filmed throughout this year with at least some of them expected to air sometime in 2024. Photos from the set have teased the series could essentially unfold during the five year period between ‘The Snap’ and ‘The Blip’.
