“Artemis Fowl” Goes Straight To Disney+

Kenneth Branagh’s big-budget film adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s “Artemis Fowl” books, originally slated for a May 29th theatrical release, is instead heading straight to the Disney+ streaming service. No new date for when it will arrive has been given.

The story follows twelve-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he finds himself in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance.

Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Colin Farrell, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, Josh Gad, and Judi Dench star in the film which was adapted by writer Conor McPherson.
