In the lead-up to the release of his action series “FUBAR,” Netflix crafted a series of promos touting action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger as Netflix’s new ‘Chief Action Officer’.
They then got Chris Hemsworth in on the action, teaming him and Arnie for a 90-second promo involving an awkward elevator ride in order to promote the release of Hemsworth’s “Extraction 2” film.
It’s working for the streamer, it would seem, as “FUBAR” launched and quickly scored an announced renewal, whilst “Extraction 2” was a big hit with a third film already given the go-ahead.
Schwarzenegger has now been brought back out to help with another 90-second promo, this time the gag involving “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot and ‘action-packed coffee’ as part of the streamer’s efforts to promote the action spy thriller “Heart of Stone”.
With the SAG strikes, Gadot hasn’t been able to do press for the film beyond a few interviews recorded early and pre-recorded videos like this – making it all the more crucial to remind people her movie is coming out this Friday.
Gadot stars in the film as Rachel Stone, an international spy tasked with keeping a dangerous device known as ‘The Heart’ safe.
Jamie Dornan, Archie Madekwe, Alia Bhatt, Jing Lusi, Sophie Okonedo, Paul Ready, Jon Kortajarena, and Matthias Schweighöfer co-star in the film, which hits Netflix on August 11tj.
