FXX’s “Archer” To End With Season 14

FXX

FX has announced that is long-running animated spy comedy “Archer” will come to an end with the show’s upcoming fourteenth season, which is already in production.

The final run of episodes will commence with a double episode launching 10pm on August 30th on FXX. Episodes will be available the following day on Hulu.

Created by Adam Reed, the series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Reed and Lucky Yates (the late Jessica Walter starred in the first twelve seasons).

Production is already underway on the 14th season and shouldn’t be disrupted by the strike, as scripts were likely written far in advance of the deadline.

The long-running series follows the workplace members of a dysfunctional intelligence agency in a Cold War-esque yet contemporary universe – allowing it to parody espionage, culture and society.

The announcement follows a number of dates teased by FX, who confirmed “What We Do in the Shadows” S5 returns July 13th, “Justified: City Primeval” debuts July 18th, and “Reservation Dogs” season three hits August 2nd.
