Apple Studios and Lionsgate have finished assembling the full ensemble cast for its true-crime limited series “Manhunt” which deals with the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
Based on James Swanson’s bestselling book, the part historical fiction and part conspiracy thriller will center on the aftermath of America’s first presidential assassination and the fight to preserve and protect the ideals that were the foundation of Lincoln’s Reconstruction plans.
Hamish Linklater and Lili Taylor have joined as Abraham and Mary Lincoln alongside Brandon Flynn, Betty Gabriel, Will Harrison, Damian O’Hare and Patton Oswalt who’ve been added to the ensemble.
They all join previously announced leads Tobias Menzies, Lovie Simone, Anthony Boyle and Matt Walsh in the show which hails from “Fargo” writer-producer Monica Beletsky, Lionsgate and 3 Arts. Beletsky will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
