Apple has acquired rights to Werner Herzog’s astronomy documentary “Fireball” to be a part of its Apple Original film slate. The movie will premiere on Apple TV+ in more than 100 territories.
“Fireball” explores how shooting stars, meteorites and deep impacts have focused the human imagination on other realms and worlds, and on our past and our future.
The project marks Herzog’s third teaming with British professor Clive Oppenheimer following “Encounters at the End of the World” and “Into the Inferno”.
The title joins other Apple original docos like ” Boys State,” “The Elephant Queen” and “Visible: Out On Television”.
