Apple TV+ is in the early development on a TV series reboot of the 1991 Nick Nolte-Barbra Streisand feature “The Prince of Tides”
Streisand directed the Best Picture nominee based on Pat Conroy’s 1986 novel. The story followed a man who falls in love with his sister’s psychiatrist as he works out the psychological damage inflicted upon him by his troubled and dysfunctional childhood in South Carolina.
Sony Pictures Television is producing the project with Tate Taylor attached to pen the script. Filming aims to begin this summer with major talent being sought for the key roles.
