Antony Starr Says Farewell To “The Boys”

Amazon

After five seasons of delivering one of the most memorable screen bad guys in years, Antony Starr is hanging up Homelander’s cape.

The New Zealand-born actor has penned an emotional goodbye to his character on Wednesday as the Amazon series “The Boys” has wrapped production on the fifth and final season.

Combining behind-the-scenes photos with a long caption, Starr dubs the series the “highlight of my career” and adds that he’s “been waiting a little to let things settle and process the end of this show”.

Starr thanked the production team, film crew and fellow cast members as well as showrunner Eric Kripke, who he dubs his “co-parent with this twisted gem of a character.”

The series debuted in 2019 to much critical acclaim and commercial success, with the final season set to release sometime next year.

Before that, we’ll get the second season of “Gen V” which will premiere on September 17th.
