With “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” now over, Captain Holt himself actor Andre Braugher has moved on to a new gig.
The Emmy-winning veteran actor has scored a series regular role in the upcoming sixth season of the acclaimed drama/comedy “The Good Fight” for the Paramount+ service.
Braugher will star as Ri’Chard Lane, a showman lawyer and rainmaker forced on Liz (Audra McDonald) as a new name partner. The character is described as a “wild mix of brilliance, geniality, religion and joyful hedonism.”
The sixth season sees Christine Baranski’s Diane feeling like she is going crazy, struggling with everything from Roe v. Wade to voting rights to Cold War aggressions returning. At the same time, the lawyers of Reddick & Associates are concerned the violence all around them points to an impending civil war.
“The Good Fight” is currently slated to return this summer on the streaming service.
