AMC has revealed the second season trailer for the acclaimed “Dark Winds” ahead of Graham Roland’s psychological thriller series returning on July 30th with six new episodes.
This season, Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) reunites with Jim Chee (Kowa Gordon), his former deputy turned private eye, when their separate cases bring them together in pursuit of the same suspect.
They find themselves in the high desert of Navajo Country chasing a killer who’s turned his sights on them to protect a secret that rips open old wounds and challenges Leaphorn’s moral and professional code at every level.
Based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series, the series also sees the return of Jessica Matten as Sgt. Manuelito, Deanna Allison as Emma Leaphorn, and Elva Guerra as Sally Growing Thunder.
The new season will also introduce A Martinez as Sheriff Gordo Sena, Joseph Runningfox as Henry Leaphorn, “Star Trek” alum Jeri Ryan as Rosemary Vines, and Nicholas Logan as the lethal Colton Wolf.
Roland and McClarnon both executive produce alongside George R.R. Martin, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Gerardis and Tina Elmo.
