AMC Delays “Walking Dead: World Beyond”

AMC has announced that they are postponing the premiere of the spinoff series “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” which was originally set to launch on Sunday, April 12th.

The first season has already finished filming with only a few episodes remaining in post-production, but the series has now been pushed to an indefinite date later this year due to the current fallout over the coronavirus pandemic.

The series is said to follow the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest.

Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other.

The series has been given a ten-episode order and is reportedly designed to be only two seasons in length.
