Amazon has released a trailer for “Shame” and “Hunger” director Steve McQueen’s “Small Axe,” the five-film anthology series coming to the service from next week.
The features (“Mangrove,” “Lovers Rock,” “Red, White, and Blue,” “Alex Wheatle” and “Education”), which can be viewed separately or together, paint the picture of life for a group of people in London’s West Indian community throughout the decades.
Letitia Wright, John Boyega, Malachi Kirby, Shaun Parkes, Rochenda Sandall, Alex Jennings, and Jack Lowden co-star in the various films with McQueen helming all five and co-writing three of them with Alastair Siddons and two with Courttia Newland.
“Small Axe” kicks off on The BBC in the UK on November 15th, and on Amazon in the U.S. from November 20th.
