Amazon Studios has acquired an untitled action-adventure feature that will see Emily Blunt playing Kate Warne, the first female detective at the Pinkerton National Detective Agency in the 1850s.
Gustin Nash (“Youth in Revolt,” “Charlie Bartlett”) pens the script for the film about Warne whose singular sleuthing skills paved the way for future women in law enforcement and forever changed how detective work was done.
Blunt’s “Jungle Cruise” co-star Dwayne Johnson is producing the film with his regular partners Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia as well as Blunt, Nash and Kristina Sorensen.
