Amazon has done a first-look deal with singer Lizzo, aka. Melissa Viviane Jefferson, with plans to develop and produce TV series together.
Lizzo says in a statement: “I’m so excited to partner with the amazing team at Amazon. Thank you to Jen Salke and the rest of the team for making this dream come true. I can’t wait to get started and share my vision with the world.”
Lizzo starred in feature film “Hustlers” and voiced a character in “UglyDolls,” this will mark her first major move in television. The news was announced as a part of Amazon’s virtual TCA press tour.
