A number of brief updates have emerged regarding filming on a number of projects.
First up, Fede Alvarez revealed on the Marea Nocturna podcast that filming on his “Alien: Romulus” sequel is set to kick off in October. Leading stars Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson are expected to return, while there have been rumors of a Predator cameo.
Next up, Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is still very much in the midst of filming and Press and Journal reports that the production is moving to Scotland with shooting about to take place along the Moray coast. Locations around Buckie and Cullen, including Findlater Castle, will involve several hundred cast and crew along with filming to partly take place at sea.
After that, World of Reel reports that the Michael Bay-directed Netflix action-thriller “Fast and Loose” starring Will Smith is targeting an August start of filming date. Smith plays a man who wakes up in Tijuana with no memory and finds he’s living a double life – one as a high-level criminal, the other as a covert CIA operative.
Then, The Insneider is reporting that casting on the new live-action film adaptation of the DC Comics title “Teen Titans” is set to begin this Fall ahead of a shoot early next year. Actress and playwright-turned-screenwriter Ana Nogueira is writing the project first announced last March.
Finally, The Disinsider indicates production on a third “Camp Rock” film for Disney is underway with filming to begin this Summer ahead of a 2026 release. Executive producer Tim Federle leads the project with “Fuller House” writer Eydie Faye penning the script.
