“Alien: Earth” Scores 9.2M Viewers In Six Days

FX

FX’s “Alien: Earth” launched its first two episodes last week, and in doing so the premiere has reportedly pulled in 9.2 million views worldwide in its first six days of streaming.

The total comes from dividing the total amount of time streamed by the runtime of the episode. The number only refers to viewership on Hulu and Disney+ alone, not the airing on FX’s linear channel in the U.S., which will have additional viewership.

Disney rarely reports viewership on its titles, so comparisons are difficult. Two we do know of are the first episode of “Agatha All Along” scoring 9.3 million views in its first seven days, “The Acolyte” landed 11.1 million in its first five days.

A better idea will come when the Nielsen streaming numbers are revealed, but that won’t be for another month. The series has so far scored rave critical reviews.

Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, and Essie Davis lead the series which Noah Hawley created.

Episode 3 debuts Tuesday night and follows the team as they return home with unexpected cargo. The eight-episode run concludes on September 23rd.
