Behaviour Interactive has released a trailer for the upcoming inclusion of the “Alien” franchise into the video game “Dead by Daylight”.
In the narrative clip, “Alien” heroine Ellen Ripley awakens from hypersleep and is soon pursued by a Xenomorph. Whether she survives her encounter – that will ultimately be up to the player.
“Dead by Daylight” sees a group of players trying to hide and escape from one killer. The franchise is famous for its collaborations with other horror franchises which are incorporated into the game.
Since its launch in 2016, it has reached over 50 million global players. Mathieu Cote, Head of Partnerships for Behaviour Interactive, says:
“Alien has been and continues to be one of the best sci-fi stories ever told — and to be able to collaborate with 20th Century Games on bringing this story into Dead by Daylight is a privilege for all of us at Behaviour Interactive.”
The “Alien” content of the game, featuring Ellen Ripley as a Survivor, the Xenomorph as a Killer, and the Nostromo Wreckage as a setting, releases August 29th.
