Alex Meraz (“Suicide Squad,” “Bone Tomahawk” “Twilight”) has scored one of the lead roles in WGN America’s drama pilot “Scalped”.
Based on Jason Aaron’s DC graphic novel series, the modern-day crime story is set in the world of a Native American reservation. Dashiell Bad Horse (Meraz) has returned home after fifteen years in exile.
Now a criminal with a mysterious agenda, he sets out on a violent path of self-discovery which seems him clashing with his estranged mother and the ambitious community leader – Chief Lincoln Red Crow.
The project will feature a predominantly Native American cast and was written by Doug Jung (“B anshee”).
