Alec Baldwin will star in and produce the independent western action feature “Rust” with Joel Souza directing from his own script based on a story he co-created with Baldwin.
Baldwin will portray western outlaw Harland Rust. When his estranged 13 year-old grandson is convicted of an accidental murder and sentenced to hang, Rust travels to Kansas to break him out of prison.
The fugitives must then outrun legendary U.S. Marshal Wood Helm and bounty hunter Fenton ‘Preacher’ Lang as deeply buried secrets are unearthed and an unexpected familial bond forms on the merciless American frontier between the mismatched duo.
