“Ahsoka” To Feature Alternate “Sith” Ending?

A new report suggests the upcoming “Star Wars” series “Ahsoka” should offer an interesting alternate version of the “Revenge of the Sith” ending.

The Rosario Dawson-led live-action series has been in production for months, with nothing really seen from the series beyond a brief teaser shown to those in attendance at Star Wars Celebration earlier this year.

We do know the series will effectively serve as a sequel to the “Star Wars: Rebels” animated series as Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan Ahsoka (Dawson) and Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) search for former con artist turned Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi).

We also know Christensen is back in some capacity, reprising his Anakin/Darth Vader role, and the show will show off “a completely new and unexplored area of the Star Wars universe” along with having a ‘significant’ battle between Ahsoka and Vader.

Now, Making Star Wars reports that the show will feature a battle between Ahsoka and Darth Vader in a sequence that recreates the ending of the prequels – but with Ahsoka in place of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor).

The site’s sources claim Christensen will be seen battling without his Vader mask and is said to be wearing an identical outfit to the Mustafar fight scene seen at the end of ‘Revenge of the Sith’. The sequence will also have a younger actor playing Ahsoka for those scenes.

The events of ‘Sith’ take place nearly thirty years earlier than the main “Ahsoka” narrative, which unfolds in “The Mandalorian” time period several years after ‘Return of the Jedi’ – which would explain the younger casting.

The show has long been rumored to use the World Between Worlds element seen in ‘Rebels’ – a mystical plane that offers a collection of doors and pathways existing between time and space.

“Star Wars: Ahsoka” is expected to hit the Disney+ service sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.
