“Ahsoka,” “Skeleton,” Indy 5 Briefly Teased

Ramsey To Direct An Ahsoka Episode

Lucasfilm used its D23 presentation to tease several of its live-action “Star Wars” series – and a certain archaeologist – on the horizon.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni were on hand to talk about “Ahsoka,” saying her appearance in “The Mandalorian” was in many ways a test to see if audiences wanted to see the character in live-action. It obviously worked, with Favreau calling this Filoni’s “magnum opus”.

Of shooting the show so far, Filoni says: “The character has found new legs with the work we’ve been doing, and a show called The Mandalorian really set that up beautifully.”

Filming on Jon Watts’ “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” wrapped yesterday. Favreau says he originally discussed getting Watts onboard whilst he was shooting the “Spider-Man” movies.

Jude Law was on hand to show off a photo of himself on the set, saying “I can’t quite believe I’m a part of this galaxy”. The show itself takes place during the New Republic era and is said to be about a group of kids who get lost in the Star Wars galaxy and try to find a way home.

Both shows have yet to set any potential premiere dates.

Meanwhile a trailer was shown for “Indiana Jones 5” but only to those in the room. No new reveals in terms of titles or surprise casting, but the reaction to the clip has been rapturoous.

There was reportedly a big sequence during a New York ticker tape parade, a horseback chase in a subway tunnel, a train sequence, scenes in the desert and at see, and flashbacks with a de-aged Harrison Ford. That film arrives in cinemas next Summer.
