One of the most anticipated of the various new “Star Wars” TV series in the works is “Star Wars: Ahsoka,” a show that brings back the fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano following her live-action debut in the second season of “The Mandalorian”.

As part of a report on Marvel’s “What If..?” premiere, THR says that sources connected to Lucasfilm confirm that the studio is looking for an actress to play Sabine Wren opposite to Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Ahsoka.

This would add weight to the reports suggesting the “Ahsoka” series serves as something of a sequel to the animated “Star Wars: Rebels” series and that we may see other characters from that series here – brought to life in live-action form.

We already saw it somewhat with “The Mandalorian” which not only gave us Ahsoka but also saw Katee Sackhoff reprising her role of Bo-Katan Kryze which she voiced in both “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels”.

Sabine Wren is a young Mandalorian and a key part in the rebel team of the Ghost starship – serving as chief engineer, linguist their weapons and demolitions expert.
